Late Herbert Wigwe Named Among Largest UK Property Owners With 106 Holdings, New Records Show.
Fresh details have emerged about the scale of the late Nigerian banker Herbert Wigwe’s investments, with new records showing he owned 106 properties in the United Kingdom.
The disclosure came after British authorities introduced a new requirement compelling overseas entities holding UK real estate to register their true ownership with government agencies. The rule, aimed at increasing transparency in property ownership, brought to light the extent of holdings by foreign investors, including Mr. Wigwe.
