It is no lie that as humans we are bound to have intimacy once in the while. After intimacy with your partner, there are some things that you need to do immediately to avoid having any infection.
This is because you might not know the health status of your partner so it’s safe to take these measures after intimacy just to be on the safe side.
Here are the 5 Things to do After Intimacy
1. Do not Douche (For Women)
This applies to women, after intimacy with your partner do not rush to wash your genitals. This is dangerous because when you wash your private part with soap and water, it causes more damages because the soap you might be using can affect the PH of your private part and affect the activity of your genitalia.

2. Empty Your Bladder.
After intimacy with your partner, the best thing to do is to empty your bladder (urinate). This activity is very important because there might be some bacteria that are present in your urethra so during the process of urination some of the bacteria might be eliminated from the body alongside the urine. For ladies what to do is to use a clean cloth and wipe your genitalia from front to back (this is necessary to prevent the bacteria from entering your genitalia).
3. Ensure To Drink Plenty Of Water.
After intimacy with your partner, it is essential to drink plenty of water to maintain balance, because during the process of intimacy you lose a lot of water as sweat. And you also need to drink plenty of water to urinate more.

4. Wash Your Hands.
After intimacy with your partner, it is also advisable that your wash your hands properly because during the process you might have mistakenly touched your genitalia with your fingers. And if that same finger enters your mouth it might cause some damages to the body.

5. Run a test.
If after doing all these things and you are not satisfied then the best and surest thing to do is to visit a hospital and get a test done to know more about your health status.
