‘You Will Regret This’: American Missionary Confronts Tinubu Over Jos Killings (Video).
A video recorded right from the scene of a deadly attack in Jos has put President Bola Tinubu under fresh fire. The person speaking is an American missionary named Alex Barbir. He is the founder of a group called Building Zion. And he did not hold back.
In the clip, which has since gone viral, Barbir stands in the Anguwan Rukuba area of Jos North. Behind him is the aftermath of what residents say was a shooting spree on the night of Palm Sunday, March 29, 2026. According to reports, gunmen entered the neighborhood and opened fire on people. At least ten to twelve Christians lost their lives that night.
Barbir looks straight into the camera and directs his words to the president. He accuses Tinubu of sitting in Aso Rock while citizens are being killed. His exact words are that the president is doing nothing. He said the government can no longer say this is not genocide. He pointed out that the attacks keep happening on holy days and that Christian communities have become regular targets.
The missionary did not stop at criticism. He issued a warning. He told President Tinubu that he would regret allowing this pattern of violence to continue without a strong response. The tone of the video is raw. Barbir appears angry and emotional. He does not sound like someone reading a script.

As of now, the presidency has not released any official reaction to the video. The Plateau State Police Command has also not issued a fresh statement on the attack or on Barbir’s claims. But the video has already sparked fresh debate online. Some Nigerians have backed the missionary’s words, while others have questioned why a foreign national would speak in such a manner to an elected leader.’
Efforts to reach the American missionary for further comments were not successful at the time of filing this report. However, the video continues to spread across social media, and many are waiting to see if the government will respond to the accusations.
