A Nigerian tech developer based in the United Kingdom, Ugochukwu Akpudo, known online as UGo, has shared details of his marriage breakdown. According to his posts on social media, his wife was unfaithful while he worked to support her education abroad. He also stated that after the discovery, she still expected him to pay her tuition fees.

The couple married in 2023 and had a child together in 2024. During her pregnancy, Mr. Akpudo spoke publicly about his desire to provide a good life for his wife. He developed a mobile application designed for her use during pregnancy. After she relocated to the UK, he took on the responsibility of covering her school fees and other living expenses.

Following the birth of their child, he bought her a car as a push gift and built another application, this time for her and the baby. At the time, many online observers viewed the couple as an example of a supportive marriage.

On April 8, 2026, Mr. Akpudo posted on X (formerly Twitter) that he had discovered his wife had been involved with another man. He claimed the incident took place in their home while he was working to pay her tuition fees.

He further alleged that even after being confronted, his wife requested that he continue funding her education in the UK. A user on X, identified as Funmi, asked why he made the matter public and suggested he forgive his wife, describing the situation as the work of the devil.

Mr. Akpudo responded that he had not wanted to bring the issue online. However, he said his in-laws did not see anything wrong with their daughter’s actions and were also asking him to keep paying her school fees.

He also stated that he knows the man involved. According to Mr. Akpudo, that individual has been viewing his Instagram and X accounts. In private messages, the man told his wife that he misses her and looks forward to seeing her again. Mr. Akpudo said she replied, “as you should.”

Since the posts went viral, social media users have resurfaced an older tweet in which Mr. Akpudo made fun of another man, Roby Ekpo, who had previously complained online about his wife’s alleged infidelity. Some commentators have pointed out this contradiction.

The discussion has since shifted to broader issues, with some advising men against excessive spending on partners without legal or emotional safeguards. Others have called for caution, noting that only one side of the story has been told so far.

As of now, the wife has not publicly responded to the allegations. Attempts to reach her for comment have not been reported.
