Blessing CEO Receives Treatment at Correctional Centre Amid Cancer Controversy.
Self-acclaimed relationship therapist and social media influencer, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, is currently receiving medical treatment at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos following her remand by the court.
The influencer, who earlier this year claimed to be battling stage 4 breast cancer, was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on fraud charges related to donations she allegedly received from the public for her treatment. She has since been remanded in the correctional facility, where officials have confirmed she is receiving the medical care she needs.
Blessing CEO appeared before Justice Yelim Bogoro of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, where she pleaded not guilty to a six-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence. Following her arraignment, the court ordered her remand at Kirikiri pending the perfection of her bail conditions.

According to sources, Blessing CEO’s health has been closely monitored since her arrival at the facility. Correctional centre officials have reportedly made arrangements for her to receive medical attention while in custody, given her earlier claims about her health condition.
The influencer herself has been open about her situation, taking to social media to update her followers. She wrote on her Facebook page that she had spent 26 days in EFCC custody before her arraignment and is now at Kirikiri Correctional Centre.
“I have now been remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Center pending when I perfect my bail,” she wrote. She also thanked her supporters and asked for continued prayers.
The case dates back to late March 2026, when Blessing CEO shared emotional videos announcing she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and needed urgent surgery. She appealed to the public for financial assistance, citing pressure from treatment costs.
During that period, she received N13 million in donations from members of the public who were moved by her story. However, in an interview in April 2026, she clarified that she did not have stage 4 cancer, describing that as “a miscommunication.” She said she had just received her biopsy results and was still awaiting further tests.
The EFCC later alleged that documents she presented to support her fundraising claim were falsified, leading to the charges she now faces.
This is not Blessing CEO’s first time at the correctional facility. She recalled being remanded at the same centre in 2022 over allegations connected to defamation and cyberbullying.
Despite her current situation, the social media personality has maintained a positive outlook, describing her predicament as a divine plan.
“If God wants to use you, He puts you through fire like Yakubu so that I will manage, because this story is my biggest breakthrough,” she wrote.

Beyond the cancer donation case, Blessing CEO is also facing other legal troubles. She was granted N10 million bail by Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court in a separate matter involving an alleged N36 million fraud. In that case, she is accused of collecting money under the claim that she had authority to lease out a property in the Lekki area of Lagos.
The EFCC also previously arraigned her before Justice R.A. Oshodi of the Special Offences Court in Ikeja over an alleged N69.15 million fraud.
As of the time of this report, Blessing CEO remains at Kirikiri Correctional Centre while efforts continue to perfect her bail conditions. The court has adjourned the matter for further proceedings.
