According to reports, two persons have been sla!n at the Ndi Agwu village located in Abam, which is located in the Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State.
It was stated that the casualties took place during the elections for the presidency and the National Assembly, which are taking place today.
One of the victims, identified as Samuel Arunsi Eze, is claimed to have been murdered by a political thug named Daniel Mgba, according to the reports that have been circulating.
It has been reported by an eyewitness that one of the individuals engaged in the killing has also been put to death.
In the meantime, in the South- East, the Imo State Police Commissioner, CP, Mohammed Barde, has issued strict orders on compliance with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, Baba Usman, on all forms of vehicular movement and transportation across the state. These orders apply to all types of vehicles.
Usman said that the ordered compliance will be in force for the elections for the presidency and the National Assembly on Saturday, February 25, from midnight to six o’clock in the evening.
In addition, the IGP said that the exemptions are only granted to duty officers such as those working for INEC, election observers, firemen, and ambulances in the event of a medical emergency.
